Jim is a licensed REALTOR with Grupe Real Estate and has extensive experience in sales and marketing including new and existing home sales, short sales and foreclosed properties, rental management of apartment complexes, restoration of National Register properties and medical facilities construction management. Jim is Platinum Certified in short sale and REO property.
A Stockton resident, Jim has held a number of senior management positions with major organizations here and on the East coast, including Health Plan of San Joaquin; Trustees of Health and Hospitals, Boston; Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston; and several advertising/public relations agencies where he served in senior executive positions in the areas of health care, real estate and the entertainment industry.
He has sold new and existing homes in Massachusetts; restored Victorian town homes in Boston, MA and Queen Anne Victorian summer cottages on Martha’s Vineyard; managed rental apartments; converted Boston row houses to condominiums and is a multi-million dollar producer at Grupe Real Estate. He specializes in bank-owned properties, short sales and foreclosures.
Jim has helped found the San Joaquin County Safe Kids Coalition; Reach Out and Read San Joaquin; and has been a major fund-raiser for City of Stockton events.
Jim also is a writer and has served as an associate editor for the San Joaquin Business Journal. He has had a passionate interest in music since childhood, is a pianist and wrote the program for University of the Pacific’s inaugural Brubeck Festival, honoring the work of jazz pianist and composer, Dave Brubeck.
He is a graduate of Tufts University (BS in psychology) and the Management Development Program in Health at Harvard School of Public Health. Jim also has received an honorable discharge from the United States Air Force where he was an electrical power production specialist in support of the Atlas and Titan ICBMs as well as a chaplain’s assistant.
